Well, if you’re seeing this, it’s because the transition has been (mostly) successful! Ok, there were and are bumps in the road - I need to look at that photo gallery plugin, it’s acting a bit loopy… but all in all things seem to be working just fine.

It will be nice not having to freak out every few hours!

I will be moving more and more client sites today (right after I write a very longish email telling them what’s going on) and by Monday this should all be just one more chapter in “the hosting saga”.

Well, that’s what the press release SHOULD have said. Turns out (gasp) they are releasing a Special Edition of Lord of the Rings: Shadows of Angmar which includes a map and a yet-to-be-named in-game item. I’m guessing cape since EVERYONE in the LOTR beta was like “Where can I get a cape/ Where did that guy get a cape?”

Great (but short) little article talking to CoH Producer Serdar Copur about various things. He also gives us the first Issue ten hint:

“Issue 10 will focus on a level range that you guys have been clamoring about for a while.”

Could it be the heinous 35-45 range? Something else? I’m still jazzed for Issue 9… but with my luck I’ll miss the launch day as I’m going to DisneyWorld with my mom May 2nd through 7th - and as we all know, I predicted a May 1 launch for the Issue. Seeing how it’s progressing, I’m guessing that’s right on the money.

So I’ve spent some time playing (and am about to do even more) and although I did hear a few things from a little birdie during closed beta, I can now say that I’m moderately pleased with the changes.

One thing to think about, readers: Everyone has to go through the ‘invention tutorial’. And that means everyone will be building one (1) level 25 accuracy, damage or recharge (by everyone, I mean all the level 50s who are dying to start crafting.) And then all of those people will be putting them on consignment… which floods the market…
