If you’re an MMO gamer like we are, you know who Lord British is.. and yes, it’s true. Robert Garriott has been promoted to oversee global business development and planning. It’s been a busy (and productive) year for NCSoft with the release of Tabula Rasa, and of course acquiring the intellectual property for City of Heroes. Looks like there is a lot of excitement still to come!

WOoT! Well, there was one positive side effect to CompUSA closing - I got a good deal on some NCSoft time cards, so our copies of the game have been prepaid for another month. Happy happy
Gonna keep my eyes open for more - it helps now that the game has been rolled into the NCSoft collective, time cards are MUCH easier to find.
In other thoughts, I’m surprised I’m not “winterlording” as much as before. Sure, I still love badges, but… eh. I’m event-ed out. Blue just returned from visiting his family so I’d expect us to be on sometime in the next day or so, swooping through the skies of Paragon city and arresting evildoers.

According to an anonymous dev interview in the City Scoop, the devs are saying that Issue 12 will be a “minor” issue, while Issue 13 will be a “big” one.
Any closing comments?
I’m looking forward to the next year for this game. I expect Issue 13 and 14 to be quite a bit better than anything we’ve had up until this point. Issue 12 is probably just a bit too soon with the recent changing of the guard and all of the ramping up that NCSoft will have to do for the new studio. But hopefully they’ll be rolling along at full steam by 13 and on.

I just found this service which lets me post screenshots (along with pictures for my other blogs. Lets see - I get paid for unqiue views - there’s no bandwidth limit - and I can host all my pics in one location. Yeah, I’m doing this. Let me know if you have any trouble access things - in the meantime I am uploading all my COH screenshots that got nuked during the server move. So never fear - more COH is here!

Yup, it’s that time of year again - the magical ski chalet in Pocket D has opened up and heroes and villains alike are participating in plenty of holiday themed challenges. From the familiar “rescue baby New Year” missions, to the new timed ski runs and candy cane salvage, there’s plenty to keep you busy. So hurry in before this year’s winter event ends! I’ll try and get some pictures up ASAP.

I mean it. I had pretty much shelved all my blasters except one, Ice Starr. Now with the release of the new and improved Defiance, well, I am one happy blaster! In addition to a base damage boost on ranged attacks, the ability to shoot your first two attacks in your primary and use your first attack in your secondary means that mezzing doesn’t phase me any more. Even better, every attack provides a small damage boost which stacks - making defiance act a bit like our friend Fury from brutes (though not as big a boost.) I am in heaven and foresee a lot of time playing my blasters in the weeks ahead.

Yup, they goofed up and their snafu is our gain - everyone got a second prestige grant today!
Guess what I’ll be doing - updating the Triumph villain group base, and the hero base may be expanded as well.
